Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of organization theory (course taught in English and reserved to Boarding Pass and Erasmus student).
Educational goals:
The goal of this course is to provide an analytical framework for understanding the formal and informal networks in which managers, workers, and organizations are embedded.
Course contents:
The goal of this course is to familiarize students with major conceptual frameworks, debates, and developments in contemporary ?organizational network theory?. The course focuses on (1) formal and interpersonal networks among managers and among workers, within and across organizations, (2) trans-organizational and inter-organizational processes (e.g. alliances), and (3) also addresses the economic, institutional and cultural contexts that managers, workers, and organizations must face.

This course is organized as a seminar, and uses a combination of lectures, case studies, class discussion and team-based projects.

Student evaluation consists of a written exam at the end of the course and team-based projects completed during the course. Details are given at the beginning of the course.
