Prerequisites:
Educational goals:
a) gain knowledge of Italian constitution with particular reference to the forms of state and government, to public court decisions, to the structure and functioning of the public apparatus, to the rights and responsibilities guaranteed by the constitution; b) acquire main tools to apply juridical methodologies in relation to system of production sources and in understanding the rights and constitutionality of laws; c) develop students? abilities to develop and reflect autonomously on the issues inherent in constitutional law.
Course contents:
1) the constitution has the fundamental rules in public courts (political representation ? types of government ? functions of the State and constitutional bodies); 2) the system of the sources of law (super primary sources ? primary- secondary ? autonomous- criteria to resolve antimonies3) checks on the constitution (structure, role function of the constitutional court ? the judgement of laws ? types and effect of constitutional sentences); 4) safeguards and guarantees for fundamental right (equality and ?reason? of laws; constitutional catalogue of rights); 5) constitutional laws in adherence to the EU (adapting internal laws to EU laws ? EU regulations in the sources system)

The course also includes a tutoring service (face to face and via the web) aimed at developing students? research skills (both with electronic tools and traditional ones) with legal documentation (legal dates and materials, juridical material, doctrinal material) on specific issues of public law as well as editing written reports. Students must produce written reports on course topics on which they will be evaluated.
