Prerequisites:

Educational goals:
To provide students with the knowledge, materials and understanding for one of the fundamental phenomena of modern Russian culture: the myth of Petersburg.
Course contents:
The myth of Petersburg in its literary and artistic manifestations seen through example texts from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the protagonist or historical/social setting of which is the Russian imperial capital.
