To provide students with a basic preparation in languages, therafter the course will concentrate on the vital understanding needed to analyse human language and languages around the world.

Caratteristiche costitutive del linguaggio umano. Nozioni di fonetica e fonologia. Morfologia e sintassi. Elementi di semantica e di pragmatica. La classificazione delle lingue.

Frequentanti: gli studenti frequentanti porteranno all'esame gli appunti delle lezioni, i testi di riferimento 1 e 2 e dovranno sostenere un esame scritto. Qualora non siano soddisfatti del voto dello scritto potranno sostenere la prova orale. Non frequentanti: gli studenti che, per fondati motivi (es. per lavoro o per malattia), non potranno frequentare le lezioni, porteranno all'esame i testi di riferimento 1 e 2 e dovranno sostenere un esame orale.
Students attending the lessons should bring lecture notes and reference texts 1 and 2 to the written exam. Those not satisfied with their mark can also do an oral. Students who for good reason (e.g., work or illness) cannot attend lessons should bring reference texts 1 and 2 and will take an oral exam.
