Il corso intende sviluppare una maggiore consapevolezza dei fattori coinvolti nell'apprendimento di lingue seconde e di come tali fattori siano presi in considerazione nei diversi metodi glottodidattici.
The course aims to develop the student's understanding of the variables involved in learning a second language and how these are reflected in the main Language teaching methods of the last century.

I fattori dell'apprendimento linguistico nell'insegnamento. Il corso tratterà dei principali fattori coinvolti nell'apprendimento delle lingue straniere (qualità e quantità dell'input,motivazione, età, L1) esaminandone la presenza e le caratteristiche con cui si presentano nel principali metodi glottodidattici dell'ultimo secolo.
Language learning variables in Teaching. The course will be dealing with the main variables in SLA (input quality and quantity, motivation, age, L1) by examingng their presence and relevance in the main L2 Teaching methods of the last century.

Programma d'esame: FREQUENTANTI: i temi trattati a lezione sono ripresi nel testo di rif. 1, a cui si rimanda. Nello specifico, sono obbligatorie le segg. parti: introduzione; capp. 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 e 13 e la visione dei materiali e degli allegati del vol. II (in sostanza: tutto tranne i capp. 3 e 5). A ciò si aggiunga un cap. a scelta del testo di rif. 2 oppure 3. NON FREQUENTANTI opzione A: per gli interessati al tema specifico di quest'anno: come per i frequentanti. NON-FREQUENTANTI opzione B: per gli interessati al tema dei processi di apprendimento in generale: testo di riferimento 2 e 3 (entrambi, non uno a scelta).
Exam programme for ATTENDING STUDENTS: the subjects dealt with during the lectures are referred to in course text 1 that students should consult. The following parts are compulsory: the introduction, chaps. 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 and the materials and enclosures in vol. II should be looked over (i.e.: every thing but ch. 3 and 5). Moreover, one chapter from either Course Text 2 or 3 shall be chosen and prepared. NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS option A: for those interested in the specific topic for this year: same program as ATTENDING STUDENTS. NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS option B: for those interested in the theme of the second Language learning in general: Course Text 2 and 3 (both texts, not a choice of one). Foreign students: contact the teacher.
