Obiettivi formativi:
Educational goals:		 Attraverso lo studio di componimenti tedeschi e inglesi medievali lo studente dovrà approfondire la capacità di analizzare in modo autonomo testi in lingua originale da un punto di vista linguistico, filologico e storico-culturale.
By studying Medieval German and English poems, students will acquire the ability to analyse texts in their original language from a linguistic, philological and historical-cultural point of view.
Contenuto del corso:
Course contents:		 "La canzone d'amore nel medioevo germanico: la voce delle donne". Durante il corso verranno letti in lingua originale, tradotti in italiano e analizzati dal punto di vista linguistico, filologico e storico-culturale i seguenti testi: - per la tradizione anglosassone: "The Wife's Lament" e "Wulf and Eadwacer"; - per la tradizione tedesca: "Du bist min, ich bin din", "Waere diu werlt alle min", "Ich zoch mir einen valken" e "Under der linden". I brani sono contenuti nei seguenti testi: - A.Klinck, "The Old English Elegies", McGill-Queen's Un. Press, 1992: pp. 92-94. - I. Kasten, "Frauenlieder des Mittelalters", Reclam, 1990: pp. 32, 34, 36, 116, 118.
Women's love songs". Reading in the original language, translation into Italian, and linguistic, philological, and historical-cultural analysis of the following poems: - Old English Tradition: The Wife's Lament"; "Wulf and Eadwacer". - German Tradition: "Du bist min, ich bin din", "Waere diu werlt alle min", "Ich zoch mir einen valken", "Under der linden". The poems are printed in the following texts: - A.Klinck, "The Old English Elegies", McGill-Queen's Un. Press, 1992: pp. 92-94. - I. Kasten, "Frauenlieder des Mittelalters", Reclam, 1990: pp. 32, 34, 36, 116, 118.

Una traduzione in italiano è proposta da R. Sanesi, "Poemi anglosassoni", Milano, 1966, pp. 136-139. Gli studenti che non conoscono il tedesco possono sostituire l'Introduzione e le Note del volume di Kasten con l'Introduzione del volume di M.V. Molinari, "Le Stagioni del Minnesang", Rizzoli, 1994, pp. 5-36. Il volume contiene anche la traduzione in italiano delle liriche "Ich zoch mir einen valken" (pp. 47-48 N° 5) e "Under der linden" (pp. 235-236). A translation into Italian is provided by R. Sanesi, "Poemi anglosassoni", Milano, 1966, pp. 136-139. Students who do not understand German can study the Introduction in the volume by M.V. Molinari, "Le Stagioni del Minnesang", Rizzoli, 1994, pp. 5-36 instead of the Introduction and the Notes in the volume by Kasten. Molinari's book contains the Italian translation of the poems "Ich zoch mir einen valken" (pp. 47-48 N° 5) and "Under der linden" (pp. 235-236). NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS must also study the following texts: - K. Malone, "Two English Frauenlieder", in "Comparative Literature" 14 (1962): 106-117 (electronic resources. This module is designed: 1) for students of the three-year-course in Foreign Languages and Literature or Humanisti Sciences either as a curricular course or as a free choice 2) for students of European and Pan-American languages and literature and Languages for international communication. 3) for students of LM LLEP (curricula: didacitc-methodological; European, together with Germanic Philolgy C).
