Obiettivi formativi:
Educational goals:
Applicare le nozioni di base nell'analisi di: i) singoli fenomeni linguistici; ii) processi di cambiamento linguistico; iii) variazione sociale nell'uso delle lingue. Utilizzare le conoscenze teoriche sulla costituzione delle lingue per risolvere o migliorare situazioni critiche legate all'uso e all'apprendimento del linguaggio.
Application of basic notions in the analysis of: i) individual linguistic phenomena; ii) processes of language change; iii) social variation in language use. Employing theoretical knowledge about the constitution of language in order to solve or improve critical situations in language use and language acquisition.

Course contents:
La nozione di parola. La formazione di parola in italiano. L'allineamento dei costituenti maggiori della frase. Il modello della grammatica generativa. La struttura pragmatico-informativa delle frasi. I processi di cambiamento linguistico. La variazione sincronica delle lingue.
The word. Italian word formation. Alignment of major sentence constituents. The model of generative grammar. Pragmatic-informational structure of sentences. Processes of language change. Synchronic variation of languages.

MODALITA' D'ESAME Questo modulo e il modulo di Linguistica di base (3060) costituiscono un?attività didattica composta che viene valutata in un unico esame come qui indicato: a) FREQUENTANTI: materiali e appunti delle lezioni. Testo di riferimento 1, cap. 8 (pp. 296-312). Al primo appello della sessione estiva l'esame può essere sostenuto in forma scritta. Negli altri appelli solo in forma orale. b) NON-FREQUENTANTI: testo di riferimento 1. L'esame può essere sostenuto *solo in forma orale*. Coloro che sostengono questo esame col CODICE 13119 l?esame è *solo orale* e comprende: c) FREQUENTANTI: materiali e appunti delle lezioni. Testo di riferimento 1 cap. 8 (pp. 296-312). d) NON-FREQUENTANTI: Testo di riferimento 1: capp. 4 (solo paragrafi 4.3.2., 4.3.4., 4.4., 4.5.), 5 (paragrafi 5.5., 5.6.), 6, 7, 8 (tot. pp. 147).
EXAMINATION PROCEDURES This module and the module of Basic Linguistics B (3060) constitute a compound didactic activity which is evaluated in a single exam as follows: a) ATTENDING STUDENTS: hand-outs and notes of lectures. Course text 1, ch. 8 (pp. 296-312). In the first summer examination session the exam may be taken in written form. In all the other sessions the exam may be only taken in an oral form. b) NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS: Course text 1. The exam may be taken *only in an oral form*. For those students who take this exam with the CODE 13119, the exam is *only oral* and comprises: c) ATTENDING STUDENTS: hand-outs and notes of lectures. Course text 1, ch. 8 (pp. 296-312). d) NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS: Course text 1, chs. 4 (only sections 4.3.2., 4.3.4., 4.4., 4.5.), 5 (sections 5.5., 5.6.), 6, 7, 8 (total number of pp. 147)
